Hi, I'm Christy
Through the years, I have learned how to take care of myself, eat better, get good sleep, exercise, drink water, and live a healthier lifestyle without depending on things that aren’t good for me. But it wasn't an easy journey.
From the age of 12 to about 27 I was trying to figure out who I truly was. I grew up in a pretty dysfunctional family and used drugs, alcohol, and relationships to numb pain, find comfort, and forget.
When I was totally free from drugs, alcohol, and bad relationships, I turned to food instead to deal with life. Bad habits are hard to break and to change.
Although I don’t think that we ever totally get it figured out, over the years I have found ways to overcome addiction, insecurity, perfectionism, and listening too much to my inner critic.
With all that being said, I am more passionate than ever to help women start where they are, realize they are meant for so much more, and become the best version of them-self.
I may not have literally walked in your shoes, but I know that pain of not knowing where to begin on a journey to a healthier you. I can promise you there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just because it’s the way it’s always been doesn’t mean that it has to stay that way.
Over the years,
I’ve been in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years. I have managed gyms in the Elkhart area, I was the Health and Wellness Director for our local YMCA, and for the past eight years, have owned and operated a studio of my own.
I am also am certified in Spinning, PiYO and Kick Boxing, and hold an Associate’s Degree from Bethel College – with a concentration in Exercise Science.
In my free time,
I love to spend as much time as possible with my husband Ty and our son Scott. I love to read, watch movies, and be anywhere there is water, sand, and sunshine. I also like hanging out with my girlfriends when I can.
